Text Messaging Policy
Updated 10/16/2024
As of December 1, 2024, all wireless carriers in the USA require businesses that use text messaging (SMS) to communicate with their customers to have a published and registered privacy policy to avoid abuse.
Our policy is as follows.
We only use text messaging for two purposes:
(1) To respond to a incoming voicemail message or email. A response by text is only done if the person states in their voicemail or email that we may respond by text message.
(2) To receive notifications that a ticket-holder is running late to a performance and wants to inform us that they ARE coming and not to give away their seat. Any response to such messages will be for simple acknowledgement purposes only if requested, and only if the sender is confirmed as a ticket-holder for the performance in question.
We do not retain "permission" to send text messages to any customer or non-company individual. Each message exchange is considered in isolation for compliance with this policy.
We do not send ANY unsolicited OUTGOING text messages, either individual or bulk, for marketing purposes or otherwise, other than to a known recipient (e.g. a volunteer) for administrative or logistical purposes where we already have established communications with that person.
